Conference and Market Intelligence

By the time your team writes the post-congress recap, the window has closed.

Competitive intelligence at ASCO, ASH, EHA, SABCS and the other congresses that shape your year. Real-time KOL feedback while the meeting is happening. Abstract, citation and sentiment maps after.

You should be on this page if your recap arrives too late to use.

  • Your team attends ASH, ASCO, EHA, IMS, SABCS, EULAR, ATS, AAN or another major congress in your indication, and the internal recap arrives two weeks later, stripped of nuance.
  • You send a team to a major meeting and walk away with a slide deck of headlines instead of a clear read on what the data means for your brand.
  • You want to know what outside KOLs said about the data, not just what a press release claimed.
  • You need a structured view of how the scientific community is positioning your brand, the standard of care and the emerging therapies in your space.
  • You’re planning medical affairs and brand activity around the next 12 months of congresses and need a plan built on evidence.
  • You want abstracts, posters and oral presentations triaged by relevance before, captured during and synthesized after, without your team doing the lift.

Two ways to run it.

You can run either on its own or both together. They answer different questions: Mode A tells you how the science landed. Mode B tells you what the science said.

Mode A

Real-time KOL feedback at the congress

We deploy a structured KOL panel onsite, capture their reactions to scientific content in real time, and turn the output into a presentable insights report within days of the meeting closing.

  • Multidisciplinary KOL panel recruitmentTypically 14 to 24 experts, composed for the indication. Past panels have spanned physicians, RNs, clinical pharmacists, APNs and administrators.
  • Mobile real-time captureShort, structured mini-surveys right after each session or presentation, before recall fades.
  • Onsite logistics and panel managementKOL contracting, scheduling, honoraria processing and onsite coordination, so your team can focus on its own meeting objectives.
  • Coverage planningBefore the congress, we map abstracts, posters and oral presentations against your priorities and direct the panel to what matters most.
  • Post-congress insights reportSession by session, with verbatim feedback beside recall, comprehension and practice-impact metrics. Delivered within 10 business days of event close.

Mode B

Abstract, citation and competitive intelligence

For the congresses you can’t fully cover with a panel, or where you need the full landscape view that only structured data analysis can produce.

  • Pre-congress abstract triageEvery abstract, poster and oral presentation in your indication, scored against your priorities before the meeting.
  • Citation and source-attribution mappingWho is being cited as the evidence base for your indication, the standard of care and adjacent therapies, and where that is shifting.
  • Sentiment and positioning analysisHow your brand, the standard of care and emerging therapies are characterized across the abstract and poster set, tracked against prior years where data exists.
  • Competitive content mapEvery relevant external abstract at the meeting, indexed by indication, mechanism, endpoint and the KOLs driving the evidence.
  • Strategic blueprintWhere the white space is, where the science is going, and which KOLs to engage based on the data they’re producing. Optional year-over-year tracking across consecutive meetings.

One past engagement: a 21-member multidisciplinary panel, 12 scientific presentations evaluated, a 98-slide final report delivered within 10 days. Another: 24 international KOLs, 41 sessions, 128 structured insights captured in real time. A third: 14 one-on-one, 45-minute KOL consultations onsite at a major hematology congress.

Four past engagements.

Mode A, transplant congress

Real-time multidisciplinary panel at an international transplant meeting

Situation

A specialty pharma client in hematology and transplant needed to measure how the multidisciplinary care team understood, retained and would act on key clinical messages. Traditional post-event surveys captured impressions after recall had faded.

Approach

A 21-member multidisciplinary KOL panel of transplant physicians, RNs, clinical pharmacists, APNs and administrators. Mobile mini-surveys right after each session. 12 scientific presentations evaluated.

Outcome

95% average correct recall on clinical data points. 83% of respondents said the presentations would change their treatment or management approach. A 98-slide report delivered within 10 days of event close.

Mode A, myeloma workshop

Real-time international myeloma intelligence

Situation

A patient-focused myeloma research organization needed a scalable way to gather KOL perspectives on data presented live at an international myeloma workshop, for use across medical and patient communities.

Approach

A 24-member international KOL panel on a mobile survey platform, with full panel recruitment, contracting and onsite coordination.

Outcome

128 expert insights captured across 41 sessions. 100% of participating KOLs said they’d take part in future programs.

Mode A, hematology congress

Onsite expert consultations during a hematology congress

Situation

A specialty diagnostics company needed candid market intelligence on a gene expression profiling assay from leading multiple myeloma specialists.

Approach

14 one-on-one, 45-minute structured KOL interviews onsite during a major international hematology meeting, with full recruitment, contracting, logistics and synthesis.

Outcome

Clinical adoption insights, a competitive landscape assessment, treatment paradigm analysis and specific ways to strengthen product positioning, used to shape the client’s commercial and medical strategy.

Mode B, launch brand

Abstract and citation mapping for a launching brand

Situation

A launching pharma brand wanted to understand which KOLs were driving the evidence base for its indication, which external therapies were closing the sentiment gap, and where citations were shifting year over year.

Approach

Pre-congress abstract triage, post-congress citation and source-attribution mapping, and a competitive content map indexed by KOL, mechanism and endpoint. Sentiment tracked across three consecutive meetings.

Outcome

A structured blueprint that informed medical affairs engagement priorities, brand messaging and KOL development planning for the following 12 months.

Why this delivers where post-event surveys don’t.

We capture before recall fades

By the time your team writes the recap, the nuance is gone. Real-time mobile capture closes that window. Data collected within minutes of a presentation is data your medical and commercial teams can act on.

Panels mirror the real care team

Single-specialty panels miss how messages land across the people who influence care. Past panels have spanned physicians, nurses, pharmacists, APNs and administrators, matched to the audience that drives the indication.

Numbers come with the words behind them

Every deliverable pairs recall rates, practice-impact percentages and comprehension scores with the verbatim feedback that explains them.

We deliver while the window is open

10 business days after the event for the real-time mode. Field debriefs are still happening, and messaging refinement is still on the table.

The questions pharma teams ask first.

Which congresses do you cover?

We have direct delivery experience at major hematology and oncology meetings (ASH, EHA, ASCO, IMS, SABCS), transplant meetings and major society meetings across hematology and specialty oncology. The method works at any meeting. If you can name the congress and the indication, we can scope coverage, including outside North America.

Do we have to run both modes?

No. Mode A and Mode B are independent. Many clients start with one and add the other later. Some run both from the start because the two answer different questions.

How big does the KOL panel need to be?

Past panels have ranged from 14 to 24 KOLs, depending on indication breadth and meeting size. Smaller, deeper panels of 12 to 16 work well for narrow indications. Larger panels of 20+ suit broad meetings where you want multidisciplinary coverage.

How fast can you deliver the post-congress report?

10 business days after the event is the standard window for the real-time mode. The full strategic blueprint for the abstract and sentiment mode typically lands 3 to 5 weeks after the meeting, depending on the depth of analysis.

Do you handle KOL contracting and honoraria?

Yes, all of it: KOL identification, contracting, scheduling, honoraria processing, onsite coordination and post-event reporting.

How is this different from what our medical affairs team does internally?

Most internal medical affairs teams are running their own congress objectives: meeting their own KOLs, attending their own priority sessions and writing their own debriefs. We add the systematic layer across the whole meeting. The two work side by side.

Can you build year-over-year tracking?

Yes, and this is where Mode B becomes most valuable. The same indication at the same congress across three or five consecutive meetings shows you the direction of sentiment, KOL movement and competitive evidence-building over time.

Do you work outside oncology and hematology?

Yes. Oncology and hematology are where our reference base is deepest, and we’ve built equivalent work in immunology, rare disease and specialty therapeutic areas.

How do we get a quote?

Book the 30-minute call. We need 20 minutes to understand the congress, the indication, the audience you need covered and which mode fits. We can scope and price within 48 hours of the call.

Bring your congress calendar to the call.

Book 30 minutes. We’ll look at your congress calendar, your indication and your competitive landscape, and tell you on the call which delivery mode fits your team.
